drinking sucks, right? well, put it this way, if you enjoy it, its probably AA.
the other bit is about how authoritarian police states, might *sound* good….
well ok, it sounds terrible, and basically thats the point?
china and russia are the best superpowers, because of their attitude to policing!
said nobody ever. a liberal society is the envy of the oppressed world, so why do british politicians make it their business to make peoples lives shit? i say britan because its a particularly police state sort of thing, where because of tax exempt religious status, america has a whole slew of political problems to do with christian (catholic) values such as the whole pro life thing. kind of similar to poland, which is also very catholic. abortion rights, being a slightly different way to encroach over peoples bodies and minds in a way that cements a political wedge issue into the minds of voters. (go democracy!)..
look, i was trying to talk about enjoying drugs, and the great work done in helping people that use drugs done by the AA team. who i call whenever i have a breakdown or there is a problem with my car! they help you use drugs. there i said it. its about making drugs fun. which is exactly not what the party of law and order stands for. its not about harm reduction, its about having an avenue to cause harm to individuals in a way that cements a political narrative. drugs are not kept illegal because of their being a scourge on society, or even because of the risk that could happen. drugs, when they become popular, do so because they are not shit drugs. heroin was never popular, it never will be, because it can give you an anurism. this is not a good consequence of drug use. its a poison. nobody is talking about making poisons legal. people that design drugs (sorry about oxcontin btw, which results from this logic) can improve their safety and efficacy. i would love to see this with cocain. its actually interesting why big pharma took up smack instead of crack, to tweak… its not like the afghans are any less armed than the columbians. well, the CIA did there best with the coke, but it never got pharmaciticalised, unless you count novocain, but these alterations or synthetics do not make coke safer and better to use, they just use the aesthetic properties, and remove the euphoric qualities. arguably, many antidepressants are modelled on extended duration cocain (a tripple reuptake inhibitor like a combination of SSRI’s and NDRI’s such as ADHD meds like atomoxetine, amphetamine, or venlafaxine. that covers all 3 receptor classes that cocain acts as a reuptake inhibitor for)… anyway, so, they make better drugs, but they are paywalled, and we cant bypass their market, and their arcane dispensation infrastructure, presumably because this would harm profits, and then we wonder why the cosh is used on recreational drug abusers that offer a lifestyle solution for what big pharma want to tap a market on, your brain, and how it responds to chemical supplementation. thats an expensive paywall, and, well, what are we going to do with all these police anyway? is that a good look for society? america doesnt care. a ruthless government facilitated monopoly on violence to control individuals ability to bypass the capitalist restrictions on their pharmacological diet…. (the druid is fuming!)…. thats good business! america is proud of that! but thats not what a liberal society looks like, one that capitalises on peoples ability to be coerced in the name of political violence, and have peoples lives ruined as a simple calculation required for political expediency. disgusting. … there arent “tough decisions“ for authoritarians to make, they are very comfortable, and even relish the excuse, to crack down on the lives of the citizenry, to denigrate and dehumanize them, in the name of perpetuating power. its ruthless authoritarianism, typical of fascist or communist regimes, not of liberal democracies, and evidences the significant impact of big money interests in corrupting the sanctity of democracy. you cant call yourselves a civil society, if you run a prison industrial complex on behalf of capitalist drug marketeers. look at canada. they have more brains, less red tape, a more cooperative industrial cohort, and dont do things just to be cruel, even thought this is a bad idea, just because they are too lazy to not act on ill informed often evil notions. candian lawmakers, are forward looking, and well informed, educated and resourced, and tasked with doing the right thing by the people, as is the role of government, not to be corrupted into brutalistic demonstrations of subordination capabilities by a draconian police state apparatus. the whole idea is fucked up. idk why i grew up in a society, in a time when this was the case. it didnt used to be the case, you could get coke at the pharmacy. its mostly a neoliberal hangover from the corporate raiding days of the 90’s. gordon gekko on wall street, gutting americas industry in the name of sham economics. this is when they bought government. this is when business chris took over big pharma. it wasnt olly north swapping AK-s for duffle bags of coke anymore, its fully scanner darkly.
